Sewing lessons

NEW - one on one sewing lessons available at Frederick MADE. Choose your project and your date. Adult + Child (Ages 8-12) are able to sign up as 1 person. Machines are provided, but we encourage you to bring your own if you have one!

1 hour sewing machine review - Bring your machine and go over all parts of your machine, how to sew different stitches, use different presser foots, and get any questions answered. 

Basics of sewing - get comfortable using your machine and practice basic stitches. We'll be making a pillowcase & drawstring pouch during this class

Bags workshop - students will learn to use batting and make a functional tote bag during this class

Pattern-making workshop - We will go over how to read and use patterns, important markings and how to draft your own pattern. Students will get to make their own pattern for a project of their choice. 

Circle skirt workshop - students will learn how to sew a simple circle skirt for themselves. Each student will make a circle skirt pattern and sew their own skirt during this class

The staple tee workshop - students will make their own basic t-shirt using our own original t-shirt pattern.
